Thin Film Antenna

2007 Aug 28th got film antenna patent No. US7261916B1
Why Thin Antenna?
Thin film antenna have the largest cost reduction potential of all RFID tags.
Thin film antenna has the lowest Cu consumption.
There is no pollution duing manufacturing.
The antenna performance is the same as FPC antenna.

Most developing hurdle:COST
Passive tag is still too expensive

The cost issue of passive tag is still the number one to be considered.
The target price of Wal-Mart for passive tag is 2-5 cents which are much lower than the current selling price (around 30 cents).
The cost of FPC antenna is around 7 cents which is almost the limit of FPC process.
The cost of thin file antenna can be lower down to 1 cent for UHF RFID tag.

Systme specifications:

Application : Single-side HF antenna and UHF antenna.
  Coating width : 40cm.
  Coating speed : 3 m/min.
Coating material : Cu or AI.
  Film thickness : 3µm.
